Indications for use:

Preparation before use
 
1. Protective equipment: Wear gloves throughout the process.
 
2. Cleaning the probe: Before disinfection, clean and dry the ultrasound probe thoroughly in accordance with the probe manufacturer?s instructions.
 
3. Ensure that the hydrogen peroxide consumable has been inserted correctly.
 
Starting the disinfection cycle
 
1. Place the probe in the chamber: Open the door of the trophon2 chamber.
 
2. Place the probe in the chamber:

  • Insert the probe in the correct position, ensuring it does not touch the chamber wall and is aligned with the marked line.
  • Add the chemical indicator (optional): Place the Trophon Chemical Indicator inside the chamber to verify that the cycle is running correctly.

3. Close the door: ensure the door is properly closed and locked before starting the cycle.
 
4. Start the cycle.
 
At the end of the cycle
 
1. Remove the probe:

  • Wearing gloves, open the door and carefully remove the probe.
  • Wipe the probe with a clean, dry cloth to remove any residue.

2. Check the indicator (optional): Check the colour change of the trophon Chemical Indicator to confirm that the process met the required conditions.
 
3. Record (optional): Record the result of the cycle in accordance with your centre?s procedure.
